NIGERIAN ARMY PATRONISES INNOSON MOTORS

We are not there yet but surely we are not where we used to be. The rate of our infrastructural development is being upgraded and as a result is fast rising like a phoenix and standing tall into the heavens with citizens creating innovations, scholars making ground breaking research and the integrity of the nation commanding absolute respect.

On Tuesday, 3rd January. 2018, The Nigerian Army formally entered into partnership with Nigerian indigenous motor manufacturing company: Innoson Motors Manufacturing Company for modification of some of its equipment; ‘local production of armoured fighting vehicles’ and other military hardware.

 


The Army Chief Lt. General Tukur Buratai asserted that “based on this, the Nigerian Army has acquired over 70 more variants of the Innoson vehicles which were deployed in the North East for Operation Lafiya Dole”.  

The specific areas of partnership between the Nigerian Army and the company include

 

  • Immediate supply of 100 vehicles,
  • Supply of appropriate gears, engines and chassis required for immediate modifications  
  • Repairs of armoured fighting vehicles in the North East Theatre of Operations.

 

Furthermore, the essence of this partnership is to strengthen the bond between Nigerians by encouraging local entrepreneurs. The Nigerian army had formalized its relationship with Innoson Motors, serving as an example to all other citizens who patronize international dealers for their goods and services.
