There are so many little things you are surrounded with that can do a million and one extra things than you actually know them to be able to do. Trust me, some of these little and seemingly irrelevant or underrated things can save you from situations- emergency and casual inclusive.
Today, we will be looking into objects that can be improvised with in helping to care properly for your car. You don’t always have to spend all of your life savings in keeping your car quality. A car is supposed to bring you ease not create a hole in your bank account or pocket as it were. So, enjoy reading and implementing these simple, cheap and really effective hacks.
FIX A FUEL TANK LEAK WITH CHEWING GUM
It could happen to anyone. Hitting or dragging the bottom of your vehicle so hard on the ground while driving that the fuel tank thins out and begins to leak. The best thing to do at the time in order to avoid a dangerous situation, considering the fact that fuel is involved is to get some gum, chew it out flat and block the hole in the tank till no liquid can get through. This is only a temporary fix and professional help should be sought out as soon as possible.
CAN’T GET YOUR REGISTRATION STICKER OFF? WET NEWSPAPER FOR THE WIN
Now we know how much traffic authorities want to see your registration stickers on your windshield. But what happens when they are expired and you want to take them down? Some of them leave annoying after marks that just won’t go away. Simply put a wet newspaper in warm water and place it over the sticker. Leave it for a bit so the water can penetrate properly and watch the sticker fall of into your hands afterwards.
DON’T LEAVE YOUR SEAT WARMER SITTING IDLE
In our part of the world, we unfortunately never get to use our seat warmers much. I mean, we have our amazing sun to give us all the heat we need, thank you. Your seat warmer can help keep your food warm though if you have some and you won’t be able to eat it immediately. Put that warmer to good use, you paid for it!
COLA FOR THE WHEELS
Someone keeps buying you Coca Cola but you are a Fanta fan instead? You could still put it to use. Mix half a bottle of Cola with some dishwashing liquid and wash your wheels with the mixture and watch it shine like new afterwards.
COVER THOSE SCRATCHES WITH SOME NAIL POLISH
So someone at the mall’s parking lot left you a pretty gift on your car just in between parking it and returning to pick it- a scratch. Unfortunately, you can’t get a whole car paint can for such a little scratch. What to do? Get some nail polish the same color or really close and cover up the scratch.
