88TH GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: NEW CARS TO STEAL THE SHOW

The most anticipated and widely attested first major motor show of the year which is the Geneva Auto Show has kick started today Tuesday 6th March 2018 with the usual Press Conferences that will run till tomorrow after which the show will be open to the public from Thursday 9th.. Although it is not the motor show for 2018, the buzz this 88th edition is generating has left people wondering why and the reasons are not far fetched. Not only will it see the streamlining of the World Car nominees to the second stage and tops across all lists, major automakers will be unveiling their most exciting super, hyper, concept and conventional cars for the year.

 

The cars set to be the stars of the event are:

 

FERRARI 488 PISTA

A combination of speed, horsepower and high mileage, the 488 Pista is said to house the firm’s most powerful V8 engine ever.

 

JAGUAR I-PACE

This is said to be an emissions free and superfast, luxury electric sports utility vehicle of choice.

 

MCLAREN SENNA SUPERCAR

Although not a new comer in the car line, the addendum to this car is the “Carbon Theme” edition. The yellow detail and green brake callipers are a nod to the Brazilian racing legend from whom the car takes its name.

 

LEXUS UX

This new UX crossover will be premiered today and the automaker has promised that its handling will be ‘as agile as an hatchback’.

 

BMW Z4

With its concept previewed at Pebble Beach last summer, this embodiment of technology will definitely be one of the showstoppers at the autoshow this year.
